Respite Care

Social Services frequently contract HelpingHandUK to provide respite care as part of a package of Care for individual learning disabled clients. Fees are dependent on the level of care and support required.

Many parents caring for a learning disabled need a break in order to re-charge their batteries and enable them to carry on their sometimes difficult task. Some of our learning disabled clients need a high level of care and Social Services frequently contract HelpingHandUK to provide home domiciliary care when required.

This provision could include home visits, residential respite care in one of our homes or day respite either in our residential homes care or on the club premises. The amount of respite care provision required is assessed by Social Services and funding is dependent on the level of care required.

HelpingHandUK also provides day respite either in our residential homes or on the club premises. This could be for a set number of hours a week or for residential care. The amount of respite care provision required is assessed by Social Services and funding is dependent on the level of care required.
